Riot-Free Evening

Went to a party on 7th Ave and 29th Street. 34th floor, overlooked the Garden...if you stretched your head a bit. Eve of the RNC, I believe. Not that anybody is going to riot on a lovely Friday afternoon, but I thought there might be a chance of disobedience while we were on the terrace drinking Bud and rum-n-Cokes.

But nothing. Nothing but a few helicopters in the vicinity. Weak. Like the Clash sang, I wanna riot.

Maybe next week. Maybe next week there will be some fireworks.

Then to the Delancey Bar, because hanging out with a bunch of cheeseballs near one of the world's most ugliest bridges gives you a lot of hipster points. Always. The basement, where the bands play, has less cheese than the main floor. Not much cheese, honestly. Heavy on the polo shirts, but light on the cheese. Thank God. The band was good, I bought a CD, got a free pin. My PC isn't reading the tracks so I can't listen to the songs.

Aw crap. I just realized I have to return a DVD to fuckin' Blockbuster. Those bastards. They get my money then they ruin my social calendar. !!!
